In this article, you will find the detailed steps for printing parts:
- Log in to DIS Workbench
- Access the license
- Execute print steps
- Request a reprint
The DIS Workbench enables you to print the 3d printed parts that are stored in the digital inventory.
The application can only be used by users who have been configured during the onboarding process.
If you are a non-Wurth company, you will first need to activate your DIS Account.
Navigate to the DIS Workbench application and log in with your credentials.
When you log in, you'll be able to see all the print licenses that have been sent to your company or department.
The print licenses are split into three categories:
- Open - these are the print licenses for which work has not started
- In Progress - the print licenses for which the printing process has started
- Completed - the print licenses for which the entire printing and post-processing steps are completed.
Once you select a print license to print, you'll go through a set of steps in the application:
- Select the printer on which you want to launch the print.
- Prepare the necessary materials, tools, and personal protective equipment to start printing.
- Follow the printing progress
- Perform the post-processing steps as instructed in the application.
- If required, provide quality documentation as instructed in the application.
- If applicable, follow the instructions to assemble the part.
If there is an issue during the printing process or if the resulting printed object is faulty, you can request a reprint.
- After an error has occurred or after the printing process is completed, you have the option to request a reprint.
- You will automatically be granted one reprint.
- If you need to request an additional reprint, your reprint request will be seen by the support team in the DIS Admin application.
- If the support team grants the reprint, the print license will receive the “open” status, and you can print again.
- If the support team denies the reprint request, you will receive a notification in the DIS Workbench, and the print will be moved to the “Completed” section with the reason “Reprint Denied.”
