A Digital Recipe is the core of your digital warehouse and manufacturing workflow. It acts as a centralized source of truth, containing all the critical details a Workbench operator needs —from the product specifications to the raw materials and printer settings and of course the encrypted buildfile.
A Product is the actual item and a digital recipe is the set of data and instructions to produce this product with a certain printer, raw material or for a certain quantity.
A Product can have several Digital Recipes, that differ either in printer model, raw material and/or quantity.
To create your Digital Recipe, you’ll need the following details:
Product: What are you creating?
Printer Model: Which 3D printer will you use?
Raw Material: What material is required for printing?
Product Count: How many products will be printed on the build plate?
Don’t worry if you don’t have all the information yet. You can add additional details later as needed.
Each product and digital recipe receives a Digital Inventory Number upon creation.
This serves as a unique identifier.
