If you install DIS with a DF2+ printer, follow the steps below to connect it to DIS.
¶ Prerequisites
- DF2+ version 3.0.14.624
- To check the firmware version, follow the steps below:
- From the main screen of the printer, tap the Machine icon in the right-hand side menu
- The version is displayed in the left side panel
- To check the firmware version, follow the steps below:
- If the printer doesn't have the right version, install the correct firmware version.
- DIS Hub is connected to the same network as the printer. Follow these steps to obtain the DIS Hub IP address.
- If the DIS Hub IP address is not on the same network, update the DF2+ IP address.
¶ Bind to DIS IoT Hub
- Navigate to Settings → Ethernet:
- Confirm DHCP is ON.
- Confirm that an IP address is assigned.
- If you don't see an IP address, make sure the printer is connected to the network.
- If it is connected, reach out to the local IT
- Make sure Wifi is switched off
- Nagivate to Settings → WLAN
- Press OFF if needed
- Nagivate to Settings → WLAN
- Go to Settings → Privacy → Enable DIS:
- Tap the Enable DIS button at the top.
- Wait for the hub list to load.
- Wait 3–5 minutes before attempting to bind.
- Premature binding attempts will likely fail due to Azure sync delays.
- Once the hub is listed:
- Click the Device ID to initiate the binding process and press OK in the confirmation screen.
¶ Confirm Successful Binding
After a successful bind you will see a confirmation on the screen:
- Return to the Privacy Menu.
- You will see that Enable DIS will say Binded
- Press Enable DIS.
- You will see:
- Device ID
- IP address
- Wallet assignment
- The option to unbind the hub
¶ Binding Failure
- If binding fails after the full wait period:
- Contact your Würth Additive representative and IT support team.
- Do not attempt repeated binds without assistance.
